Correspondence to Morley Roberts, 1935.

Dorothy Sayers responds to letters from Roberts, in which he apparently commented on certain aspects of a book or books by her. Her remarks generally seem to concern her novel Gaudy Night (with mention of the characters Peter and Harriet), and possibly also Nine Tailors. The topics she touches upon include the requirements of the ending in a detective-story; the theme of intellectual integrity in the book; a tragic vs. a comic formulation of the same theme; and the convention of referring to bells as female.
